The official Xbox news site, Xbox Wire, recently took down an article that mistakenly stated that the Final Fantasy 14 open beta had begun on Xbox. The much awaited open beta will launch in the upcoming weeks, bringing the well-known MMO to Xbox systems for the first time.
The official editorial arm of Xbox, Xbox Wire confirmed that the information released on the Final Fantasy XIV Online Open Beta was incorrect and accepted the error. The message guaranteed fans that they will be informed as soon as the precise date became available.
During the Developer Direct session on Thursday, which Xbox and Bethesda will be streaming, there could be an explanation. It's possible that this presentation will make the official open beta launch date known.
In June 2023, at the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival in Las Vegas, Xbox's Phil Spencer shocked guests with the news that Final Fantasy 14 would be coming to Series X and S. Both the Series X and Series S versions of the game offer fast loading times, while the Series X edition claims 4K graphics.
Most notably, Xbox will now support the Expanded Free Trial which is currently available on PC and PlayStation platforms. This implies that players have limitless playtime until they reach level 70 in the basic game A Realm Reborn and its first two expansions, Heavensward and Stormblood.
