Starfield, Bethesda's long-awaited space adventure, has rocketed to astronomical success in the gaming industry. It's breaking records and making waves among gamers all across the world. The official Starfield Twitter account has praised over ten million gamers for helping to make the game the "biggest launch in Bethesda history."

While this is a remarkable achievement, it has not achieved the same heights as Xbox Game Studios. Microsoft proudly stated in 2021 that Forza Horizon 5 had ten million players in its first week, making it the most significant Xbox launch.

When the two are compared, Starfield took nearly twice as long to achieve this milestone. It's important to note that Starfield was exclusive on Xbox Series X/S and PC, but Forza Horizon 5 was only available on Xbox One, giving it a larger player base.

According to recent sources, Starfield is the sixth best-selling game in Europe this year, based on its launch week. According to GamesIndustry.biz, it will be the biggest Xbox launch in Europe, slightly ahead of Forza Horizon 5.

Howeve, these results do not account for the effect of Xbox Game Pass downloads, an area in which Forza Horizon 5 succeeded. Many players were introduced to the excitement of Forza Horizon 5 thanks to the subscription service.

According to Microsoft, Starfield received over six million players in its first 24 hours, with over a million exploring its world at the same time. This shows the game's continued appeal, despite taking a little longer to reach its milestone than other Xbox releases.

With over 10 million gamers experiencing its cosmic wonders, Starfield's journey has been amazing. While it didn't break as many records as previous Xbox releases, it was nevertheless a huge hit. One thing becomes apparent as gamers continue to explore Starfield's universe: the interstellar adventure is far from over.
